January 8, 2024 I'm incredibly excited to announce that my score for "Viktor mod Verden" has been nominated for a Robert Award!
I feel so humbled and grateful for the beautiful reception that the score has received. The music could not have been made without the collective effort from the fantastic musicians, Peter Kohlmetz Møller, Anders Bach Pedersen, Sven Meinild, Erik Olevik, Ned Ferm and the great support from director Christian Arhoff. ❤️

September 18, 2023 So happy that my music for the movie "Viktor mod Verden" has found its way to the weekly playlists of the Danish National Radio channel P8 Jazz. Have you had a chance to watch the movie yet?
The music is set alive by pianist Peter Kohlmetz Møller, bass player Eri Olevik, drummer Anders Bach Pedersen and saxophone player/flautist Sven Meinild.
FARVEL TID to be shown at Odense Film Festival + concerts
July 31, 2023 Time flies when you are having fun… Lack of updates here is only due to a busy schedule elsewhere.
But I’m enourmsly pleased to announce that my movie Farvel Tid which is the companion piece to the album of the same name, is going to be shown at this years Odense Film Festival on August 31. I will follow the screening with a concert. Tickets for the screening and concert can be bought right here.

Viktor på Månen / Viktor On The Moon wins Ekko Shortlist Award for Best Original Score
November 23, 2020: Oh yes, this happened; “Viktor på Månen / Viktor On The Moon” won an Ekko Shortlist Award for Best Original Score.
The music wouldn’t have been the same if it wasn’t for the fantastic musicianship of Anders Bach Pedersen, Erik Kimestad, Peter Kohlmetz Møller, Mads Hyhne, Nikolaj Nielsen, Richard Andersson and Sven Meinild.
A sincere thanks to everyone who has been involved. I feel very honoured and grateful for this.

November 9, 2020: Together with the good people from Ballad, I have provided music for this movie from the Biden/Harris campaign.
This was one of those projects that definitely payed off during this past weekend. Congratulations with the US election!

November 8, 2020: EKKO SHORTLIST AWARDS 2020 is just around the corner, and I’m very pleased to announce that several movies that I have written music for up this year. I have been nominated for Best Original Music for my work on Christian Arhoffs “VIKTOR PÅ MÅNEN” (which is also candidated for Best Scenography and Best Photography). Kristian Nordentofts GADEJØRGEN is nominated for Best Animation. And finally Cecilie McNairs “Lille a” for which I did the music with Ida Duelund is in the run for Best Editing and for the special Shortlist Award.

White Houses, Black Windows to be featured on Odense Film Festival.
August 26, 2020: Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of working on Josefine Exners documentary, “White Houses, Black Windows”, which has its official premiere on this years Odense Film Festival. The film is part of a showcase with movies from The Danish National Film School on Saturday the 28. of August.

May 3: Once a week I hook up with the good people of the UN City in Copenhagen to direct them in some pasttime choir singing.
During these weird times we naturally not able to meet physically, but we keep still keep in touch. This is us giving a virtual go at Beatles classic “Because”.

March 18, 2020: Esben Halfdan Blaakildes documentary Uønsket - Hvorfor forsvandt du far? about a lost parental relationship is now streaming on DR3 at Danish Broadcasting Corporation.
I wrote and recorded the music in the first months of 2018. My aim was to capture the fragility of a broken father-son-relationship through instruments typical in a living room environment. I based the instrumentation around piano, harmonium, acoustic guitars and double bass.
The soundtrack was recorded at Black Tornado Studios by Joe Strauss and played by myself.

February 27, 2020: Jamais Vu by my band, Den Fjerde Væg, is out now on all streaming services and in selected record stores.
I’m very happy to share this with you. We started working intensively on the record in the late summer of 2017 together with our great associate Nikolaj Nielsen. The attitude was create the music as a collage of recorded samples from our own lives. We worked in ArtFREQ- and Black Tornado Studios. Cover artwork was done by Bjarke Stenbæk Kristensen who also did the music video for the first single, Evig morgen.
The record is released by Sony Music.

Farvel Tid @ Odense Film Festival
September 5, 2023 Thanks to everyone that came to Odense Film Festival and took part in the showing of Farvel Tid and the subsequent concert. It was such a special evening. Danish music magazine GAFFA was there as well and enjoyed what they witnessed.

August 1, 2023 I’m extremely pleased to announce that the premiere for Viktor Mod Verden is only two days away – on Thursday the 3. of August!
Viktor Mod Verden is my feature debut as a film composer. The movie is a heart warming comedy starring Nikolaj Jørgensen, Nicolas Bro, Bodil Jørgensen, Anna Bruus Christensen and many more.
Natsværmeren, DR P2
April 20, 2021: Starting May, I will be a part of the Danish Broadcast Corporation P2 programme Natsværmeren as weekly radio host.
Natsværmeren is a daily two-hour programme set out to mix calm “evening-oriented” music from various genres, eras and parts of the world. The programme has existed for over ten years already and is currently hosted by Minna Grooss, Katrine Ring and Tina Rømer. I’m very pleased to be joining the team.

August 25, 2020: “Viktor On The Moon” by Christian Arhoff is featured on American film festival, Telluride, as stated by Ekko. The festival was to happen from 3.-6. of September, but will be an online event due to Covid19. Still, pretty neat.

March 27, 2020: Jamais Vu (Udfoldet) by my band, Den Fjerde Væg, is out now on all streaming services. It’s a tripple album recorded between 2017-2019 by us and our companion, sound engineer Nikolaj Nielsen and released by Sony Music..
A lot of heart and soul has been put into this.

I played at Corona Koncerter last night.
March 19, 2020: Weird times. Last night I had the pleasant but strange honor of playing what I guess was the only official concert in the country yesterday at Corona Koncerter. A great initiative set up by Mathæus Bech to make sure that live music is still being shared. I’m very grateful for all who dropped by to listen and for every donation. Thank you. Weird times indeed. I hope you are all well and safe and doing what you can to get through this turbulence.
